Lorena, Lead Teacher-

My name is Angelica L. Barrera, and I live in Guatemala, I obtained my degree in 2020 at the Rafael Landivar University in Education, All my professional training has been focused on education. In 2011, I graduated as an Urban Primary Education teacher. In 2015 I obtained a diploma in Psychology and Pedagogy. In 2017, I obtained a diploma in Psychology.

I am the third daughter of 7 siblings, and now I am a mother of two boys, my son Adrian Barrera is 14 and Aldieri is 4. My husband is Luis Sen and we firmly believe in God and that He is the perfect example to share love with others.

My main role in my community is to strengthen the knowledge of children, adolescents, and parents in the field of education, I have worked 10 years in the service of my community in San Felipe de Jesus. I am currently working for Dreams and a Future as the Lead Teacher. This organization was born with the purpose of sharing the Gospel, and I firmly believe that God has a purpose for my community and that is what motivates me to provide support to its children, I am characterized by the values of love, patience, respect and empathy.

Keyla, Assistant Teacher-

Hello, my name is Keyla E. Lix R. I am 23 and I live in Guatemala. In the year 2020 I graduated in Business Administration and I am currently studying Clinical Psychology at the Mariano Galvez University in Guatemala,

I am an empathetic and friendly person always willing to help others. I currently live with my parents who are entrepreneurs, and we are a family of 6 members. I am the oldest sister of 4 siblings, We get along very well and although we sometimes have differences, we always support each other. In my free time I like to relax, get involved in activities at my church, go out with my friends, and enjoy time with my family.

I am currently working at Dreams and Future as an Assistant Teacher and believe that God has a purpose in the community of San Felipe de Jesus, and therefore, has called me to serve my fellow neighbors with love and humility through our center. My faith and love for my Heavenly Father is the motivating force that moves me every day to proclaim the Gospel to this community.

Leo, Admin-

My name is Leonel Barrera, I was born and live in the city of La Antigua Guatemala, I have a degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Development Management that I obtained in 2024. My family consists of four siblings, and I am the youngest, currently living with my parents and two of my brothers.

Currently, I have the privilege of serving as the General Director in
Guatemala for the organization Dreams and a Future. I lead initiatives that seek to transform lives and generate positive impact in the community of San Felipe de Jesus. My core values are service, teamwork, and love for others, These principles I apply in both my personal and professional life. In my free time, I enjoy playing the trumpet and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Guatemala, These activities help me expand my horizons and connect with my surroundings.

Throughout the years, I have seen God’s faithfulness and love surround my family. I firmly believe that there is hope for life in Christ. Thanks to Him we have access to the Father and the privilege of being called children of God. This is the message I try to share with the people around me.

The children of San Felipe are all welcome to come to group meetings and outings. All of the children in our program have individual files that are updated monthly to assess their progress from month-to-month and then year-to-year.
